Daniel Berg has worked in comedy for over 10 years, from writing, scouting and development to production and entrepreneurship. Throughout his career, he's forged strong working relationships within the UK comedy scene, as well as a thorough understanding of digital culture and what works online.Read more about his work below, or click here to get in touch.Outside of work, Dan loves to play frisbee, board games and 5-a-side football. Daniel is the co-founder and CEO of NextUp - ‘The Netflix of UK Stand-Up’ (engadget) whose mission is to amplify and support live comedy, propelling the genre into the subscription video-on-demand market.

A grassroots start-up based out of London, NextUp started life in 2016 and since then has grown into a key player in the UK comedy landscape.Backed by the former President of MGM and BBC’s Head of Comedy - the company streams live stand-up, reflecting the circuit's true variety better than anybody else.With a growing member and client base, 2021 is set to be huge year for NextUp on its quest to be the worldwide home of live comedy.Find out more at nextupcomedy.comCompany Awards:

Fringe Funder is a fee-free crowdfunding platform which allows producers of fringe shows to keep more of what they raise. Daniel founded the platform in 2018 which has raised over £130k for 300+ productions.




Along with Ben Target, Daniel co-created the comedy format PLEB Talks which featured comedians giving unconventional lectures at secret London locations, UK festivals and online. Awarded Idas Tap funding, PLEB Talks featured a raft of brilliant comedians including Nish Kumar (host), Sara Pascoe, John Kearns, Mae Martin and many more.




Other previous projects include producing music videos for Comedy Central and writing comedy for E4 and Cartoon Network. Having developed a strong sense of what works online, Daniel has also created comedy virals for brands including Durex, Alizé and Paddy Power that have earned over 13 million views and press mentions worldwide.
